Wellington Airport will be making improvements to the operational layout of the terminal forecourt, enhancing the customer service of various public transport options. Taxis

We have a great taxi operation out of Wellington Airport with a modern fleet (no taxi older than 7 years). To operate from the airport every taxi driver must have an 'area knowledge certificate' and a special license so there should be no destination in the Greater Wellington Region they cannot find.

Taxi ranks can be found directly outside the baggage claim area on level 0 of the main terminal.

Door-to-door shuttles

There are multiple shuttle companies operating on airport premises. The shuttle rank can be found directly outside the baggage claim area on level 0 of the main terminal.

Shuttles offer a reduced additional passenger rate for groups of people travelling together. Please note that you need to state explicitly that you are travelling together if you wish for members of your group to be charged at the 'additional passenger' rate.
